The Griffin has had a grand refurbishment but still keeping the connection to its famous past harking back to when it was a hotel of the highest accord on Boar Lane. Boasting illustrious Gothic revival architecture, designed by Thomas Ambler for its construction in 1872 the former hotel is an important part of Leeds history. It’s home to a one of a kind Potts clock that adorns the corner of the building with the hours cleverly replaced by the words ‘Griffin Hotel’, and deep within lays the spot where the city’s beloved Leeds United Football Club was born. We’re proud to say our menu is packed with Great British pub food classics, including iconic dishes like our hand-battered fish and chips, pie and mash and succulent burgers. Our drinks include a great range of real ales and an extensive wine list. Our cask ales range has some of the best in British beers, including the new 1730, our very own special pale ale. The team at the Griffin look forward to welcoming you soon at this fantastic traditional London pub in Leeds.
