FUNCTIONS AT Junction
The Junction is a sports pub located in the centre of the Haymarket in Newcastle, the Junction is a big, lively place that’s well-known for its devotion to Newcastle United Football Club. There are often crowds of football supporters inside and a Newcastle United mural on the wall above the pool table. Commissioned from local artist Davey Brown especially for the Junction, the mural features some of the club’s legendary players.
Located close to Newcastle United's ground St James' Park, the pub is a popular meeting point for the home supporters. For those unable to attend the ground, there are screens showing live sport across the pub’s two floors. The atmosphere in the pub during the games makes it a great place to visit and watch the game.
Despite its reputation, the Junction isn’t just a hangout for football fans. With its prime location in the centre of town and great value beers, ciders and real ales, the pub is a regular haunt for students, city shoppers and business people. . It’s right next to a major bus and metro station too, so there is a real mix of locals and guests from further afield.
The Junction’s spacious upstairs function room is named St. James’ View after the local team's stadium, which you have a great view of from the windows on the top floor. The function room is light and airy with an abundance of natural light through the large windows. The room is spacious with the ability to seat 100 guests and a further 100 standing. The room provides an ideal place for big birthday celebrations, engagement parties and wedding receptions.
Facilities include a private bar, PA system, plus plug-in points for laptops and music players. A dance floor is perfect for partying, while TVs and large pull-down screens make it a good choice for live sport events or business functions. And there is disabled access in the form of a lift.
