Fountain Pub New Malden

120 Malden Road, New Malden, KT3 6DD
Call: 02089 421717

A local set in the busy heart of New Malden, blending traditional with modern conveniences. High ceilings, a large wood-panelled bar and wooden pub tables characterise the inside, giving it an air of bygone charm, while six large TV screens strategically placed around the room ensure sports fans can enjoy a thoroughly modern sport-viewing experience. Major sporting events are shown here and draw a big local crowd, who come to cheer for their team of choice.

A dartboard, a poker table and a pool table provide ample entertainment when the big sporting games are not showing. The pub faces a bustling roundabout, in the middle of which stands a fountain. Though the pub was named after a fountain on this roundabout, it’s not the one that is there today, but rather an earlier incarnation.

Head upstairs and you will find the Fountain’s 100-capacity function room, a high-ceilinged, rectangular-shaped space with a carpeted floor and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the roundabout out front. The room offers a bright and pleasant space to host business meetings and training sessions during the day with the additional advantage of a projector and drop-down screen to assist  with presentations.

By night, it can be converted into a party space ideal for everything from work shindigs and birthday celebrations to weddings. If you want to include food for your guests, we can cater for this. A dedicated bar and toilets located on the landing just outside the function room ensure that your guests are afforded privacy and convenience when ordering a round. Though not exclusive to function room guests, the smoking terrace, which can be entered via the adjacent ante-chamber, is easily accessible.

This casual pub, with its striking historic features is the perfect place to settle down for a drink with friends, with an abundance of entertainment on offer. During the day, the pub is filled with local workers and shoppers coming in for a welcome break, while during the night workers head to the pub from the local train station. Pay & Display car parking is available for designated drivers around the side of the pub.Drivers will find pay-and-display parking available in the small lot at the side of the pub.
