The Rockingham Arms is an attractive 19th century venue of ivy-clad honey-coloured stone, set in the heart of the countryside in the village of Wentworth. Beautifully kept Yorkshire stone houses line the streets of this quaint and peaceful village, famous for the baroque and palladian splendour of Grade I listed Wentworth Woodhouse, one of the largest stately homes in Europe. The Rockingham Arms, walking distance from the estate, is named after the Marquesses of Rockingham who owned Wentworth Woodhouse for much of its history and built many of the 21 renowned follies scattered across the grounds including temples, mausoleums and monuments.

The pub sits in the heart of Wentworth village, perfect on summer days with the gentle sound of willow in the beer garden.Suprisingly this charming venue is located close to the M1 motorway and just a short car journey to Sheffield and local attractions. 

The pub has a large function room in The Barn, which can seat up to 80 guests, or hold up to 120 people standing. The room is complete with a private bar and dancefloor making it the ideal facility for your event. The Barn is located adjacent to the scenic gardens and stunning countryside, with wonderful backdrops that would be perfect for a wedding or special anniversary. Ontop of our excellent catering service we also have a delightful bridal suite and guest rooms for your loved ones to stay on your big day.
