FUNCTIONS AT VIA FOSSA
Set in a converted warehouse, the perfectly located Via Fossa has some of the best canal views in Nottingham. A tucked-away side entrance leads guests into a spacious interior. Sofas on the ground floor offer the perfect place to wind down and relax with a drink, while a separate dining area, accessible via steps on either side of the bar, caters for those with an appetitte. The real showpiece of the pub, however, is its sizeable outdoor terrace, which overlooks the Nottingham and Beeston canal.
When the sun is out the terrace at Via Fossa comes to life. Plenty of outdoor seating provides ample space for passers-by and regulars to enjoy a drink. Outdoor music and an outside bar mean there is no need to head indoors, unless the weather takes a turn for the worse.
Nottingham’s connections to the Robin Hood legend, combined with its historical sites and happening nightlife, make it a prime choice for city breaks. While locals, including socialising students and office workers, do frequent Via Fossa, so too do out-of-towners, ranging from older sightseers to fun-seeking stag and hen groups, who help create a well-balanced crowd. It is at its busiest during the evening and on weekends, with a resident DJ providing tunes on Saturdays.
Via Fossa has three spacious function rooms perfectly sized to suit your event. The Balcony Room, which can hold up to 250 people, comes with its own bar, separate toilets, a large dancefloor and a balcony area with canal views. If your busy schedule means you need to take a more hands-off approach to party planning, our friendly team are able to arrange a DJ and decorations on your behalf as well as supplying catering.
Spread across three levels and holding a maximum of 150 people, the smaller and more secluded Daisy Bar is hidden at the back of the building. It has its own bar, buffet area and dancefloor. At the front of the former warehouse is the last of the function spaces, the Cask Room, a magnet for real ale devotees. This atmospheric, rustic-style space features bare boarded floors, a vaulted ceiling, comfy seating and a bar stocked with cask ales. It can accommodate up to 150 people standing and 60 seating.
Nottingham is a wonderful city to explore with much to do. In addition to its high-profile heritage sights, such as Nottingham Castle, the City of Caves and Wollaton Hall it can also boast of a thriving nightlife scene, fuelled in
