New season, new flavours await...
DELICIOUS WINTER DISHES
In the Winter months the leaves start to change colour and the nights are drawing in, so we seek out fresh warming flavours and comfort food to get cosy. Our chefs have been hard at work creating a new menu that is designed to tease your taste buds. With fresh new dishes and improvements to our classics, there’s something for everyone to enjoy at The Inn on the Green this season.
Our all new lamb rump dish is the perfect dish for enjoying on an evening or weekend when you are looking for a heart-warming meal to warm the cockles. The lamb is seasoned with salt and cracked black pepper before grilling to give its beautiful pink colour.
It is then served on a bed of sweet potato mash alongside an array of seasonal vegetables which offer a lighter accompaniment than the traditional side of chips. The Lamb Rump is served with a jug of red wine sauce which complements the meat, adding a subtle sweetness to the flavour of the lamb.
Our chicken is hand battered in buffalo batter before frying until it’s crispy. The fried halloumi is placed on the tray with the chicken and crispy sweet potato wedges before topping with a drizzle of avocado dressing, hot sauce and sour cream.
The sour cream dressing takes the edge off the hot sauce and helps to prevent the sauce overpowering the dish by allowing the delicious flavours to be retained. The Chicken and Halloumi Tray is finished off with a garnish of chilli, spring onion and coriander which gives elements of freshness as well as a slight crunch to the dish. Perfect for picking, eat the Chicken & Halloumi Tray with a craft beer or perhaps a post-work Prosecco.
Our new chicken wings are cooked until they have a delicious crispy skin. They are then tossed in your choice of three sauces, spicy hot sauce, East Coast IPA Sauce which is a sweet and sticky barbeque sauce or the Korean sauce which has a subtle bite of sesame and chilli. All of the wings are served with a sour cream & chive dip to cleanse the palette.
Our wings are perfectly paired with a hoppy craft beer such as Beavertown Gamma Ray.
As part of our new menu we have now introduced our new Wing Wednesday offer for you to enjoy at Inn on the Green. Come along every Wednesday and enjoy 10 wings or 20 wings for a great price. Bring along your friends and family and wing it this Wednesday!

STEAK & ALE PIE
Our new pie contains tender chunks of steak slow cooked in Abbot Ale and onions, all encased in a rich beef dripping shortcrust pastry. Served with creamy mash, seasonal veg and some rich beef dripping gravy.
CHEESE & ONION BEEF BURGER
Our hand-pressed beef patty served in a sweetened brioche roll topped with crispy onions, a cheesy beer sauce & smoked applewood cheese with a side of rosemary-salted fries.
CHICKEN & WOODLAND MUSHROOM PIE
Chicken & woodland mushrooms encased in a traditional soft shortcrust pastry. Served with a selection of seasonal veg, chicken gravy and creamy mash, our new pie is perfect with a cold glass of Cuvée Amélie Chardonnay.
RUM & RAISIN BREAD & BUTTER PUDDING
This dessert is a twist on the classic traditional bread and butter pudding with raisins which have been steeped in rum for 24 hours. Served with a clotted cream & Drambuie sauce.
Along with the addition of some heart-warming dishes we have also added some new drinks to our menu this autumn.
Gin is the king so treat yourself to some of our team’s favourite gins to keep your spirits up on these chilly evenings.
BOE VIOLET GIN
This award winning gin infuses violets which creates a stylish gin with a light, delicate taste and beautiful colour and aroma. Perfect with a tonic or as part of a cocktail. Why not try a Violet Spritz cocktail?
BEER & CIDER
BEAVERTOWN GAMMA RAY 5.4%
Beavertown Gamma Ray is a juicy tropical beer that is perfect for all day drinking, filled with juicy malts and huge tropical aromas of mango and grapefruit. Massive additions of American hops are added to the whirlpool giving huge hop flavour. The beer is then dry hopped for days, driving the punchy aromas so you can smell it from miles away!
BEAVERTOWN NECK OIL 4.3%
Beavertown Neck Oil is an easy drinking IPA which started as a home-brew. It is a light, crisp, punchy, go to beer that’s easy to appreciate. Extra pale base malts are used to keep it crisp and give the hops a great platform to dance on. Masses of hop additions during the whirlpool and a huge dose of dry hops make this a brilliantly ‘easy’ IPA.
PALMETTO EDEN VALLEY RIESLING
This Riesling has a clean, pale straw complexion in the glass, displaying zesty aromatic notes of citrus and green apple, with slight floral tones coming through. The palate is well-balanced with crisp natural acidity, quintessential of dry Eden Valley Rieslings
LOS BROS ORGANIC KOMBUCHA
Kombucha is a sparkling probiotic tea, fermented for a fixed period of time to produce a slightly sweet and sour fizzy tonic. Lobros Organic Kombucha is a living drink that’s both delicious and detoxifying. We have introduced the Organic Kombucha Original and Organic Kombucha Ginger & Lemon to our range. If you are looking for the perfect alternative to sugary mainstream beverages, give Kombucha a try!
