FUNCTIONS AT Shepherds Tavern
Shepherds Tavern is a handsome traditional pub located in Mayfair, London.
Sheperds Tavern pub was built in 1735 as part of a major redevelopment of the neighbourhood. The pub began life as a butter shop prior to its conversion into a pub later on. Wendy Richard MBE, most famously known for playing Pauling Fowler on Eastenders, lived in the building between 1948 and 1953. Among the pub's other claims to fame is its appearance in the 1950 film Stagefright.
Enjoy hearty pub food classics in our welcoming, lively interior. Expect the atmosphere to be particularly buzzing at lunchtime and in the evening, when Shepherds Tavern is a popular spot for local office workers to gather. We have Sky Sports and several large screen TVs for you to enjoy all the live sporting action. A refurbishment in October 2015 revitalised our décor, while maintaining our warm, traditional ambiance.
A beautiful staircase leads up to our function room, which features handsome pine panelled walls, and sash windows overlooking the bustling street below. With space to hold up to 40 people, this large room is ideal for family gatherings, work events or birthday parties. A short walk from the theatres of the West End, we are also ideally situated for pre-theatre dining. The room features a private bar, and we’re happy to adapt the space to best suit your special event.
