Sawyers Arms

Traditional wood-panelled pub with beer garden and upstairs restaurant in Paddington, originally licensed in the 19th century. Serving cask ales and classic British comfort food in a family-friendly environment, 10 minutes’ walk from Hyde Park. Originally built in 1854, the venue was initially a fishmonger’s before becoming a pub in 1858, and was known as the Western Counties Hotel until it was renamed the Sawyers Arms in 1983. A stone’s throw from Paddington station, the pub is the perfect place to watch the world go by while enjoying a pint of expertly-brewed ale. Alongside its extensive drinks menu, the Sawyers Arms offers a delicious range of classic pub dishes, such as beer-battered fish and chips and steak and ale pie, making it a great destination for a hearty lunch or a relaxed dinner with friends.
