FUNCTIONS AT Marlborough Head
It is thought that the pub owes its name to Duke of Marlborough John Churchill. The area of Tyburn was used for executions from the 12th century until 1783. The land was probably chosen because it was amid fields big enough to hold large crowds of spectators.
The Marlborough Head first opened its doors to thirsty Londoners in 1758, during the reign of King George II. For the last 250 years, we’ve been providing our guests with a warm, welcoming atmosphere in which to enjoy traditional pub food and good company.Located in Mayfair, just off Oxford Street, the Marlborough Head is a handsome late Victorian pub, built from terracotta brick with ornate original carvings.
At the Marlborough Head is two spacious function rooms available for hire which are suitable for a range of functions and events. As well as offering excellent hospitality for any celebration, we can provide high quality catering to suit the needs and tastes of your guests.
