The Marlborough Arms is a distinctive pub in London’s historic Bloomsbury. It’s an area renowned for gracious garden squares, Georgian terraces and imposing mansion buildings.
Our pub is named in honour of Charles Spencer, the 3rd Duke of Marlborough. Situated close to the University of London, the pub has long been a setting for much lively discussion and debate.  The Marlborough Arms remains one of the area’s favourite student locals, popular with academics and a haven for shoppers and visitors to fascinating Bloomsbury.

The Marlborough Arms’ design reflects the heritage of its locale. Cosy nooks invite private conversation. Thoughtfully arranged TV screens give sport fans their own sense of privacy to watch the live sporting action. And, in warmer weather, the outdoor seating area allows guests to enjoy bustling Bloomsbury from a peaceful vantage point.
Our spacious ground floor function room is discreetly separate from The Marlborough Arms’ lively bar. It is an elegant setting for formal dinners or business meetings. But it also has the intimacy and charm of a private club which works beautifully for family gatherings, small weddings and parties.

Arranged for dining, our function room can seat 40 guests comfortably. On less formal occasions, the room is large and comfortable with three big TV screens, ideal for watching live sport with friends. Whatever the occasion we look forward to welcoming your function to the Marlborough Arms.
