Lamb & Flag

Built in 1813 the building is Georgian listed which is evident when viewing the wood panelled interior. Situated only minutes from shopping meccas Oxford Street and Selfridges, the pub makes for a nice reprieve from the hustle and bustle of these areas. On the tourist map many landmark destinations are within walking distance including Hyde Park and the famed British Museum. The Lamb and Flag name is not simply an arbitrary combination of names. Is in fact a religious symbol which goes back to the early centuries of Christianity. The Lamb is thought to refer to a passage in Jon 1:29 which reads ‘Behold the Lamb of God which taketh away the sins of the world. 'The Lamb and Flag has played host to the likes of Charles Dickens, who was a regular when working in Catherine Street. We’re proud to say our menu is packed with Great British pub food classics, including iconic dishes like our hand-battered fish and chips, pie and mash and succulent burgers. Our drinks include a great range of real ales and an extensive wine list. Our cask ales range has some of the best in British beers, including the new 1730, our very own special pale ale. The team at the look forward to welcoming you soon at this fantastic traditional London pub in Marylebone.
