Iconic riverside pub in the heart of Norwich, close to the train station, the city centre and Norwich Cathedral. Named after the famous book of the 17th Century, the Compleat Angler is on the river surrounded by moorings and plenty of seating for al fresco drinking and dining.
Our lovely riverside pub has outside seating upstairs and downstairs and is just across from Norwich train station which links you to the coast and to London. 10 minutes from the city centre and Norwich Castle and a 5 minute walk from Carrow Road football stadium, our historic pub has a tale or two to tell and was a particular haven for the GIs of the Second World War to relax.
We’re proud to say our menu is packed with Great British pub food classics, including iconic dishes like our hand-battered fish and chips, pie and mash and succulent burgers.
Our drinks include a great range of real ales and an extensive wine list. Our cask ales range has some of the best in British beers, including the new 1730, our very own special pale ale. The team at the Compleat Angler look forward to welcoming you soon at this fantastic traditional British pub in Norwich.
