Hi There! We are a 6-year-old London based brewery started and founded by a guy called Logan Plant. You might have seen us around with our skulls, spacemen and loud colours and delicious beers of course. We have a core range of 6 beers, which are available all year around.
Gamma Ray (A tropical American Pale ale) Neck Oil (A crisp, dry and fruity session IPA), Lupuloid (a classic rich IPA) , Smog Rocket (a smokey and full Smoked porter), Black Betty (A dark and hoppy Black IPA) and 8 Ball (A malty, lightly spicy Rye IPA).
We also do a lot of special releases (once we used over a ton of fruit in one beer), collaborations with other breweries (and respected chefs, skate brands and jewellery companies) as well as managing our own barrel program called Tempus Project. If you want to know more about these weird/special/rare beers we proudly share all the ingredients and details on our website, so go and have a look when you have a chance!
We, of course, have a lot of incredibly talented brewers. Their ability to innovate is pretty mind-blowing.
Honestly, we could go on and introduce every single person on our team because they all have a crucial part in making Beavertown work...but that would probably be a bit of a long blog post.
Stars of Beavertown
There is no doubt that two of our absolute faves out there in the beer world is our Gamma Ray and Neck Oil. The reasons for this are many. They are both strong in there hoppy characters as well as being on the lower scale of %.
When we developed Gamma ray the idea was to create a tropical juice bomb. A beer you can enjoy and drink all day rammed with juicy malts and huge tropical aromas of mango and grapefruit. Massive additions of American hops are added to the whirlpool giving huge hop flavour. The beer is then dry hopped for days, driving the punchy aromas so you can smell it from miles away! We are never ever in doubt if it is a Gamma ray brewing day in the brewery.
Neck Oil is our every day, all day, easy drinking, go to session IPA. Neck Oil first came to life as a home-brew back in the day where Logan was annoying his family with taking up all the kitchen space. He wanted to create a light, crisp, punchy, go to beer, perfect for a gig, a football game or just enjoying by the pint at the pub. A beer that you know you can pick up and appreciate or simply get it down ya neck. (Neck Oil, get it?) Extra pale base malts are used to keep it crisp and give the hops a great platform to dance on. Masses of hop additions during the whirlpool and a huge dose of dry hops make this so full of flavour even though it’s an easy drinking low abv beer.
So now you know Beavertown a bit better…head along to your local Greene King Pub and sit and drink our beer. It’s pretty special.
